And again a year has gone and another has arrived. One year we left behind illusions, stress, memories, joys, sorrows and hopes of a promising future. For Polyphonic Choir of the Pentecostal Evangelical Church in Viña del Mar, the newly passed 2007 was a year of great progress and achievements, spiritual and material. And I think the objectives were achieved in 100%.
This year, among other things, we made it our business objective to open outwards and show the wonderful redemptive work that Christ has done in our lives, which is why our song. And one of the main signs of this is the same space, created for this purpose.
By the grace of God, in recent years the choir of our church enjoys recognition within our mission as a result of the efforts made over several decades to improve technically the song and make a serious ministry and finish. This has led us to think about the great opportunity to spread the gospel and show the world that we preserve sacred song in our musical tradition. And this year was the first year we've yet managed special activities aimed at this purpose. Among them, recounting of the activities of the year, we name:
- FEBRUARY:
* mission churches in Quilicura and San Bernardo, Santiago.
- APRIL:
* Easter cantata, open to the public with the premiere of "ISTE CONFESSOR."
* DVD release "Iste Confessor"
- MAY:
* creation of the Blog and Forum Choir.
* presentation ceremony of the Church's Navy Day Float.
* 30 year anniversary celebration.
- JULY:
* Salamanca
mission * Puchuncaví public presentation.
- SEPTEMBER:
* into music drama presentation "The church and the parable of 10 virgins."
- OCTOBER:
* Recognition Act participation in evangelical churches in Congress.
So have materialized a series of activities that have required much effort, many hours of work and dedication, but with great satisfaction and spiritual triumphs, of which we received in feedback, the wonderful news that even many of you Our readers have sent us through the contact section or our mail, as we can see that we sing praises to our God are a source of blessing and edification within the body of Christ.
For this new year begins, we pray to God that he once again look with love on their children who have decided to raise the banner of the Gospel and carry out His Word, through our songs and praise him. Among other things, we hope to secure some activities that we hope will be transformed into part of the life of our local church, such as the Easter cantata, public presentations in the city of Viña del Mar and other parts of the country, and coral ridge spreading through new productions, among which may be a new DVD.
However, for now, this space is still in force, and through him to continue contributing to the analysis of the life of the Church of Christ, and in particular the promotion of choral singing, which is our identity. We hope to soon make available to readers new scores and tracks for free use, including all of our portfolio.
